Set in an imposing Victorian townhouse, the Metropole Luxury Boutique Hotel Hotel retains its gracious period charm and combines it with modern colors and furnishings. The 29 uncluttered guestrooms are decorated in shades of taupe or mauve, with modern furnishings and striking art works. All have crisp white bed linen, minibars, marble bathrooms and complimentary bath salts.
The eye-catching M-Bar is decorated in bright red, with modern sculptural armchairs and dark wood paneling. Open from noon until late in the evening, the bar serves cocktails to a young crowd. Eclectic South African cuisine is served in the Veranda restaurant, with its mushroom-colored décor, black tables and glistening glassware.
