From Queenstown, Invercargill Or Gore. Follow The
Road To Te Anau Via Mossburn. Approximately 4 Km
Before Te Anau, Look Out For The Signpost On The
Left Hand Side Of The Road With Takaro Lodge On
It And Turn Right Onto Kakapu Road. This Sign Can
Be Easily Missed Follow The Road And It Will
Turn Into A Gravel Road. Continue For 1.5 Km On
The Gravel Road And Turn Left Onto Takaro Road,
Following The Signposts To Takaro Lodge. Follow
This Road Though Forest And Valleys To A Big Gate
With A Sign *pure Nature* On The Gate, The
Beginning Of The Takaro Property. The Gate Is
Closed, But Not Locked. After Another 7km Of A
Very Scenic Drive You Takaro Lodge Will Become
Visible. Drive Up To The Main Lodge.
Driving From Te Anau Drive Towards Queenstown Or
Invercargill, After Approximately 4 Km Follow On
The Right Hand Side The Signpost To Takaro Lodge
Via Kakapu Road.
