San Jose
San Jose is the capital of Costa Rica and its largest city. It has
a population of about 310,000 people. San Jose first sprung to life
in the 18th century, thus it has little Spanish architecture to boast
of. It has only been the country’s capital since 1824.
The main tourist attractions are the National Theatre, the Jade Museum,
offering the largest collection of Jade sculptures on display, the
