Montpelier Plantation Inn And Beach Club Is Situated On A 60 Acre Estate Of Which 10 Acres Are Landscaped Approximately 700 Feet Above Sea Level On The Slopes Of Mt. Nevis. The Plantation Dating From The Early 1700s Was Previously A Sugar Estate. In 1787 It Hosted The Wedding Of Horatio Nelson • Later Admiral Lord Nelson- And Fanny Nisbet. In 1963 The Current Owners Acquired The Estate And Out Of The Ruins Converted It To A Plantation Inn. The Island - Nevis In The Leeward Islands Of The West Indies Is Less Than 2 Miles South-east Of Its Sister Island St Kitts. It Is Dominated By A 3232 Ft Extinct Volcanic Peak With Lush Slopes Falling To Unspoilt Beaches.
