The four story Mercure Grand Hotel Biedermeier is located in the car-free, narrow streets of the Biedermeier area in the heart of the historical and cultural capital of Austria. It is situated within easy reach of the River Danube and many of the extensive places of interest that the city has to offer. All of the air-conditioned guestrooms have private bathrooms and are decorated in Biedermeier style with cherry wood furnishings. After a hard day's sightseeing guests can enjoy relaxing with some satellite television, and perhaps a little refreshment from the minibar. The hotel has its own restaurant, which is open daily, serving national and international dishes. A bite to eat can also be had in the hotel pub, or if only drinks are required, the Biedermeier Bar opens in the evenings where beverages are accompanied by piano music. Tourist keen to visit local sights can find the palaces of Belvedere and Schönbrunn, the Hofburg, St Stephans Cathedral and the Karlskirche baroque cathedral all less than ten kilometers away. Those seeking cultural delights will enjoy the National Theatre, the Vienna Opera House and the Museum of Fine Arts. The hotel is approximately 20 kilometers (12 miles), or a 25 minute drive, from the airport. |

Driving directions from Vienna International airport: Take the A4 highway and exit at Landstrasser Gürtel. Get into the left-hand lane at the first traffic light and drive along the Gürtel. Turn right at the fourth traffic light into the Fasangasse. The entrance to the Hotel Biedermeier underground car park is at Ungargassee 17. |
