The red brick Hotel Agon Frankfurter Allee opened in August 2003 and is located in Friedrichshain, just 200 meters from Samariter Strasse station, two kilometers from the Alexanderplatz, in the eastern center of Berlin. The 73 rooms are decorated in a modern style and equipped with en-suite bathrooms, cable TV and direct-dial telephones. Ten rooms also have ISDN facilities and there are three apartments with kitchenette and refrigerator.
A generous complimentary buffet breakfast is served every morning. Guests can unwind in the hotel bar after a busy day, or surf the web courtesy of the free Internet facilities provided in the hotel lobby. Beyond the hotel there is plenty for guests to see and do. Simon-Dach- Strasse, famous for its busy bars and nightlife, is within easy walking distance, and Checkpoint Charlie and the Reichstag parliament building are a five minute metro ride away. The awe-inspiring Olympic stadium is also well worth a visit. Berlin Tegel Airport is 18 kilometers (11 miles away) and a 30 minute drive from the hotel.

Driving directions from Berlin Tegel Airport: Leave airport on A111 and head on to A100. Exit at Kaiserdamm, following the Strasse des 17. Juni, Unter den Linden and Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse. Turn right at Alexanderplatz and follow the Karl-Marx-Allee. On Frankfurter Allee turn right into Colbestrasse and turn left into Scharnweberstrasse. |
