Originally built as a warehouse, the historic Gewandhaus dates back to 1770 and was rebuilt as a hotel after being reduced to rubble in 1945. It is located in the center of Dresden, 100 meters from the town hall. The 97 rooms, furnished in Biedermeier style, with light wood upholstered furniture, are decorated in pale gray and lemon tones with coordinating drapes and fabrics. Amenities include individual air conditioning and climate control, cable television with movies, wireless Internet access and marble bathrooms with spacious showers or jetted tubs.
Hungry guests can enjoy a range of dining options, from a quick coffee and croissant in the morning to regional and international specialties the smart restaurant, snacks and drinks in the lobby lounge and a range of cocktails and beers in Bar Weber's.
