Its history began in 1791, when French horticulturist Daniel Louis Jacob established the site as a wine restaurant. For five generations since, the Hotel's Jacobs Restaurant has been recognized as one of the premier restaurants and wine cellars in Germany. The Jacobs was recently named Best Restaurant in Hamburg, with chef Thomas Martin winning the prized "Chef of the Year 2002" award. Both the Hotel Louis C. Jacob and its restaurants boast endless credentials - they have received kudos from such respected organizations as Gault Millau, the Wine Spectator, and the Guide Michelin, and the hotel was recently granted the prestigious distinction of being a "Leading Small Hotel of the World."
Fully renovated in the 1990s, the Hotel Louis C. Jacob has been modernized without sacrificing any of its characteristic charm. Follow the B433 toward Lanhorner Chaussee.
After 1.6 km turn left onto "Krohnstieg"
Turn left on Swebenweg, continue onto B432.
Take Autobahn 7, direction Hannover Bremen.
Take Othmarschen exit and go to Wedel/Blankenese.
Turn left on Reventlostrasse and keep straight.
Follow until you get to Elbchaussee, turn right. |
