The four star Hotel Majoni is a large chalet-style hotel set in the chic Italian ski resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo, high in the Dolomite mountains. As well as offering pistes for all levels of skiers, the resort is a two hour hop from Venice and the Veneto, for those wishing to incorporate some culture into their skiing break. The hotel's 53 rooms are simply decorated with pale walls, rustic wooden furniture and bright bedspreads. All have balconies with mountain views, bathtubs or showers, minibars, safes and television.
The hotel restaurant serves buffet breakfasts as well as warming lunches and dinners for tired skiers. Dinners are candlelit and cocktail parties can be held in the hotel bar. Guests can make use of the babysitting service, for children between the ages of three and 10. The airport closest to the hotel is Venice Marco Polo, which is 160 kilometer away from the resort. Guests can catch a train from Venice to Calalzo, followed by a bus to Cortina. |
