The Fortezza da Basso and Palazzo dei Congressi are only 200 meters away. The hotel is part of an antique palace which dates back to the 1600's and which was originally an old monastery. The hotel underwent a complete restoration in 2001. In restoring it, the hotel has kept those structural elements such as wooden beams and stone arches, which maintain the old Florentine style, yet at the same time offers all the modern comforts expected. The guest rooms are all very well appointed and they feature a traditional Florentine décor.
