Experience the pure elegance, sophistication, and fantasy of the Argyle Hotel - considered to be one of the most important Art Deco structures in Los Angeles. It features sixty-four exquisitely beautiful, carefully detailed Art Deco style rooms in a fifteen-story hotel with panoramic views of the city. Designed in 1929 by architect Leland A Bryant, the Sunset Tower was a landmark from the moment it opened. Its dramatic stance on the Sunset Strip and elegant Art Deco styling, together with its proximity to the famous restaurants and nightclubs of the 30's and 40's contributed to its appeal then - just as it does now. After an exhaustive renovation with careful attention to its original details, the Argyle has now added a fine restaurant and a beautiful swimming pool. The public areas feature copies of French-Deco furnishings and art, along with some original, period pieces. Meanwhile, all the guest rooms are equipped with modern conveniences, and fitted with custom reproductions of the original art-deco pieces. These rooms are all equipped with plush robes, mini- bars, CD players, fax machines and other modern amenities, with nightly turndown and 24-hour room service. The Concierge is also available 24 hours as well. |
